Brentwood Town moved a bit closer to safety in Ryman North with an efficient performance against bottom-of-the-table Wroxham. Goals from Lamar Reynolds, moments before half time, and Andy Freeman early in the second half gave Blues the three points.
Blues were on top of their Norfolk opponents from the start and Lamar Reynolds had a clear chance in the seventh minute but his shot was saved by the legs of keeper Elliot Pride. Pride also had to tip away a curling shot from Andy Freeman that was heading towards the far top corner.
Reynolds set up Kieran English for in the 29th minute but English shot wide and Reynolds then shot just over the bar.
The opening goal came when Freeman’s pass put Harrison Georogiou through. Pride came out and saved well but Reynolds followed up to score.
Jack Guyton went close to an equaliser for Wroxham in the opening minute of the second half, Anthony Page saving at the foot of the post.
But Freeman scored one of the goals of the season in the 53rd minute when he burst through the centre of the Yachtsmen’s defence and beat the advancing Pride with a clever chip.
