Brentwood trailed twice to old rivals Sudbury, but second half goals from Andy Freeman and Matt Price earned them a point at the Brentwood Arena.
Much of the focus before and after the match was on Andy Freeman, who was making his last appearance for the Blues, having agreed a move to National League South club Concord Rangers.
Andy came through the youth teams before establishing himself in the first team at Brentwood four seasons ago, making a total of 126 appearances and scoring 23 goals.
Before the kick-off, there was a presentation to Andy by Brentwood Town chairman Brian Hallett, and after the match there were tributes paid to the midfielder by teammates and supporters.
Blues failed to create many chances in the first half of the match and the visitors deservedly led at the break through a Mekhi McKenzie goal in the 17th minute, the centre forward cutting in from the left and shooting across Anthony Page into the opposite corner.
Brentwood were much improved in the second half and Freeman slotted in the first equaliser in the 59th minute. However, the lead only lasted six minutes before Tom Dettmar rose well to score with a header from a free kick.
But for once, it was the Blues who scored a late goal, Price reacting well to get to the ball first and head firmly past Sudbury keeper Jake Jessup.
