Shipman's pre-season preparations underway

Brentwood Town Football Club are pleased to confirm the appointment of Craig Shipman as our new permanent Manager. Craig joined the club in the summer of 2016 as a coach alongside Tony Ievoli and quickly proved himself to be a popular member of staff with players, supporters and club officials.

Craig then took the reins following the departure of Tony and led the team to seven victories in the last nine games of the season ensuring a solid 14th place finish in the league. Club Chairman Brian Hallett said: “I am delighted to have appointed Craig, he stepped in well at the end of last season and proved himself to be a popular manager amongst the players. Craig has also shown himself to be a real club person too. I look forward to working closely with him. Everyone at Brentwood Town Football Club would like to congratulate Craig on the role and wish him well for the season.”

Brentwood Town’s preparations for the 2017-18 season are well underway and Blues manager Shipman is pleased that the majority of last season’s squad have re-signed for the new campaign but he is hoping to add one or two new names by the time training starts at the end of June.

There has been a lot of activity at the Club during the close season, including some major renovation of the pitch at the Brentwood Arena, which should improve the quality of the playing surface.
