BOSTIK DIVISION ONE NORTH
Brentwood conceded three second half goals at the Wardale Williams Stadium on Tuesday night and suffered their heaviest defeat of the season.
Blues included new signing Harry Gibbs in the centre of their midfield and there was a first start for Izzy Bademosi up front.
The pace and skill of Adam Mills on the left wing for Sudbury caused the visiting defence problems all night. Brentwood goalkeeper Anthony Page saved well from Mills in the 31st minute but was beaten by a Mills shot that clipped the crossbar.
Ryan O’Rawe went closest to a goal for Blues when he got to a Matt Hall free kick ahead of home keeper Paul Walker but O’Rawe’s header went past the post.
Brentwood started the second half positively but Jake Turner’s 68th minute goal was the turning point. Mekhi McKenzie hit the second goal four minutes later, following up to score after Mills’ shot had been blocked.
Mills then completed the scoring in the 89th minute with a fine finish.
Brentwood Town: Page, Cavalier, Foster, Gibbs (Brown 86), O’Rawe, Martin, Hilton (Stanley 77), Hall, Price, Bademosi (Gardner 77), Freeman.
