Blues impress in pre-season at Concord Rangers

Tuesday 31st July

Brentwood Town’s latest pre-season fixture was a hastily arranged match on Canvey Island against Concord Rangers. The scheduled home game with Harlow Town had to be cancelled due to concerns over the Brentwood Arena pitch following the hot, dry weather.
Blues impressed at Thames road on Tuesday and took a twelfth minute lead after a good move saw Tobi Joseph’s shot turned onto a post and Jack Mitchell followed up to score from close range. A Concord equaliser saw them level at half time and they won the match through an own goal just over a minute into the second half.
Next match is on Saturday 4th August, away to Bostik North club Herne Bay. Note that this a 12.30pm kick-off. Then on Monday 6th we are away to Haringey Borough, 7,45pm kick-off
