Brentwood Town 3 - 1 Cambridge City
Brentwood Town came from behind late on to secure all three points against Cambridge City.
The Blues opened in emphatic fashion and nearly took the lead as a cross fell to Danny Ogunleye on the edge of the box, but was struck narrowly wide.
A foul on Benas Vaivada earned The Blues a free kick. Shad Ngandu stepped up to take it but it was hit just over the crossbar.
The Blues continued to press and came marginally close to taking the lead when a superb cross from Jon Nzengo fell slightly short of Mekhi McKenzie.
Cambridge opened the second half with attacks. The long range shot of George Smith was denied by Melvin Minter before the follow up shot went wide.
The visitors then took the lead as a back heel by Kieron Bishop snuck into the bottom corner of the goal.
In the closing stages The Blues created chances to get a goal with a header by Ogunleye finding the gloves of Tom Middlehurst, followed by a header from Kai Brown which forced Middlehurst to tip it over the bar to deny a Blues equaliser.
Ogunleye managed to get an equaliser as he fired home a shot for The Blues in the 89th minute.
Just two minutes later Jesse Olukolu took the lead for The Blues as his long range effort was on target.
Olukolu got his second of the night and sealed the win with another impressive effort, latching onto a through ball from Lee Noble, cutting inside and firing the ball into the bottom right corner.
The Blues are back in action this coming Saturday as they travel take on Haringey Borough at Coles Park.
