Brentwood Town doubled their winning tally during their second pre season game against step 3 side Wingate and Finchley.
The Blues appeared lively and dominant during the first half. Through maintaining the majority of possession they were able to create several attacking chances, most notably in the 11th minute of the half where a cross by Benas Vaivada reached Andrew Freeman before it was struck narrowly wide of the right post.
The deadlock was broken in the closing stages of the first half where a curling free kick from Marlon Agyakwa found Connor Hogan in the middle of the box and was put into the bottom right corner of the goal.
The Blues nearly doubled their lead during the second half when a firing shot from Jesse Olukolu, on the edge of the box, forced the host’s keeper to tip it over the crossbar.
The Blues' are looking to make it three out of three victories as they travel to Barking for their third pre season friendly on Friday 19th July (19:45 KO) at Lawtech Stadium, Dagenham, RM8 2JR.
