Brentwood Town vs Bury Town
Tuesday 14th January 2025
4-1

Brentwood Town followed up their home victory over the weekend with another in mid-week. They hosted second place Bury Town at the Arena as second met third.

Bury Town took an early lead as Ryan Jolland’s left footed shot found the bottom corner of the goal.

The Blues came close to immediately levelling but the effort of Benas Vaivada was put narrowly wide of the right post.

Lyle Della-Verde responded with the equaliser  just eight minutes on, as he converted in the pacing delivery of Vaivada.

An edge of the box strike moments later by Della-Verde forced a stop from Charlie Beckwith to deny a first half lead.

Ade Cole got his first of the season as he struck in the cross that was squared into the box by Daniel Ogunleye.

Three minutes later Ogunleye converted from the spot to get his 25th goal of the season.

In the closing stages Ogunleye added another to the tally as he got on the end of a low cross from George Sykes.

The Blues extend their unbeaten run to 11 games and currently sit just five points from the top. They take the trip to Suffolk this Saturday to face Mildenhall Town.
