Brentwood Town 6-1 Mildenhall Town
Saturday 29th March 2025
Isthmian League North Division
Brentwood Town remain three points clear at the top with an emphatic victory over Mildenhall Town.
Mildenhall had an early chance when the ball fell to an unmarked Thomas Thulborn in the box but his effort floated wide.
On the counter attack, Daniel Ogunleye was brought down by goalkeeper Josh Pope and converted from the spot to put The Blues ahead.
A strike from Ade Cole doubled their lead less than five minutes after their first, with Benas Vaivada crossing to Cole from the left, before the visitors pulled one back through Jordan Nicholson.
Vaivada momentarily opened the scoring of the second half with a tidy finish at the back post, before the linesman flagged for offside.
Jesse Olukolu later extended the lead as he fired home a cross squared in by Vaivada.
Ogunleye added another to net his 37th of the season, with McKenzie doing well to win a header and flicking the ball onto Vaivada, who skilfully played in Ogunleye for his second of the afternoon. He completed his hat-trick in a matter of minutes with an almost carbon copy of his previous goal.
After providing four assists, Vaivada sealed a goal of his own as he rifled a loose ball into the top right corner to make it six.
The Blues are back in action on Saturday as they travel to take on Witham Town at Spa Road.
