Brentwood Town 1-0 Haringey Borough
Saturday 22nd February
Isthmian League North Division
Brentwood Town secured all three points with a late goal over Haringey Borough.
The Blues found an early chance when Jesse Olukolu attempted from long range but his effort fell inches over the bar.
Calls for a Borough penalty were waved away before a strike by Ade Cole forced the gloves of Remy Mitchell.
Cole continued but his curling free kick went narrowly wide of the post.
Captain David Olufemi looked to put the visitors ahead but a deflection put his shot wide.
Daniel Ogunleye attempted to break the deadlock as he clipped the ball past the Borough back line but struck over the bar.
Substitute Benas Vaivada put The Blues ahead in the 85th minute of the match as he received the ball squared in by Ogunleye before firing into the centre of goal.
Moments later Ogunleye looked to make it two but Mitchell was there to deny his strike.
The Blues are back in action as they travel to take on Grays Athletic at Chadfields this Saturday.
