After a disastrous start to this Boxing Day fixture when they conceded a goal after just nine seconds, Brentwood recovered to earn three points at Spa Road. Keeper Melvin Minter’s clearance was blocked and Andrew Sesay had an easy job to score.
But the visitors were soon back on level term through George Sykes in the seventh minute and as they began to dominate Mekhi McKenzie put Brentwood ahead ten minutes before half time.
McKenzie then clinched the points just after the hour mark with his second goal.
