A victory for the visitors
After securing a play off place with a mid week win over Basildon United, Brentwood Town welcomed 8th place Brightlingsea Regent to The Arena for their last home game of the season.
Charlie Collis opened the scoring in the 15th minute for the visitors after getting on the end of a Brightlingsea rebound.
The Blues nearly levelled with a superb strike from George Sykes forcing a powerful stop from Lewis Greene.
The visitors doubled their lead in the second half with Teddy Collis turning his defender on the edge of the box before firing in a shot.
The Blues are now 5th in the league and travel to the newly crowned league winners Lowestoft Town this Saturday for the final game of the 2023/24 season.
