SUPER SUB JEREMIAH SECURES A BLUES VICTORY
An unchanged, in form Brentwood cemented their position in the play-off zone by edging their way past Enfield.
Little was able to separate the two sides during the first half and break the deadlock. The closing stages of the half saw Enfield’s Ronnie Bates manage to get past Brentwood goalkeeper Melvin Minter but was denied by the tackle of Romél Aarons Royal.
However, in the 53rd minute a short back pass was intercepted by Brentwood substitute Samuel Jeremiah and found the back of the net, which saw The Blues take a 1-0lead.
From then on Brentwood continued to maintain dominance and increase their tempo on the ball, which saw a late strike by Connor Hogan superbly stopped by Enfield goalkeeper George Edgeworth.
The consecutive victory and clean sheet puts The Blues in 4th place on 53 points, just 3 points off 3rd place Bury Town.
The run of home fixtures returns this Tuesday where we welcome Bowers and Pitsea, who trail us by a single point, to The Arena.
