Brentwood Town are excited to announce the signing of midfielder Lyle Della-Verde from Isthmian Premier outfit Cray Valley Paper Mills.
Lyle began his career as a youth prodigy of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, before signing for Southend United in 2007.
He signed his first professional contract at the age of 17 at Fulham and was a part of the Academy squad that were crowned champions in the 2011-12 season. Della-Verde embarked on a loan spell at Bristol Rovers and featured at Fleetwood Town and Crawley Town respectively, before branching into non-league football.
Some of his non-league clubs include Welling United, Concord Rangers and Braintree Town. In June 2017, Della-Verde signed for Dartford. The squad finished on 86 points, joint with league champions Havant & Waterlooville in the Vanarama National League South, and narrowly lost out on promotion to the National League after a 1-0 defeat to Braintree Town.
Della-Verde joined Enfield Town and produced 18 goals in all competitions between 2019 and 2021. He then re-signed for the Towners at the end of 2021 after a spell at Welling United. During his second spell in North London, he totalled 62 league appearances across the two consecutive seasons and amassed 17 league goals in that period.
Most recently, Della-Verde featured at Isthmian Premier Division outfit Cray Valley Paper Mills, where he scored five goals in 24 appearances and won the Isthmian South-East title.
We can expect a highly competitive player, capable of playing across the midfield, with strong attacking qualities. Brentwood Town are excited to extend their welcome to Lyle for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
