EMIRATES FA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND
BRENTWOOD TOWN 1 – 1 HARLOW TOWN
A keenly contested cup tie will need to be settled in a replay on Tuesday. Both goals came early with Narcis Filip scoring from the penalty spot in the third minute after he had been brought down by Callum Leahy and Andy Freeman tapping in an equaliser for Brentwood in the thirteenth minute.
There were more chances for both teams before half time with Filip missing an empty goal after Blues keeper Harry Girling left himself stranded. At the other end Jack Humphrey shot ever from in front of goal and Charlie Kendall headed over from close range.
Five minutes after half time, Tom Richardson went close for Blues with an overhead effort that went just wide of the far post. Two minutes later Connor Hogan also went close for Brentwood with a shot that was deflected wide of a post.
Filip and Jared Small often a threat for Harlow but neither side could break the deadlock.
