BRENTWOOD TOWN 2 – 2 GREAT WAKERING ROVERS
Brentwood skipper Michael Toner rescued a point for Brentwood with a last minute penalty after former Brentwood player Josh Wiggins had come off the bench at the start of second to turn the game in Wakering’s favour.
Brentwood had the best chances in the first half with debutant Temi Babalola and Andy Freeman each getting behind the visiting defence on two occasions but could not beat Rovers goalkeeper Bobby Mason.
But the Blues took the lead in the 31st minute when centre back Abdus Salami surged forward and went past three tackles before hitting a cross-cum-shot that found the far top corner of the net.
But Wiggins came on and quickly put Wakering in front with goals in the 51st and 56th minute.
