BRENTWOOD TOWN 1 - 2 AFC SUDBURY
League leaders Sudbury secured their eighth win in nine league matches through Harrison Chatting’s second half goal.
Tom Richardson had the first shot on target in the third minute, but his effort was comfortably fielded by visiting goalkeeper David Hughes. But Nnamdi Nwachuku then put the visitors ahead in the fifth minute, finding the bottom corner from 18 yards for his 24th goal of the season.
Brentwood went close to an equaliser in the 20th minute when Connor Hogan hit the crossbar from close range following Chris Gregan’s long throw, but they did draw level on 36 minutes, Tom Richardson’s forcing the ball home with the help of a deflection.
Both sides went close in the second with David Hughes saving from Sam Park’s free kick in the 51st minute and Brentwood keeper Harry Girling keeping out a Lionel Ainsworth shot before Chatting’s 64th minute winner.
