Witham Town (A)
26th Dec, 3PM Kick off
Next up for Brentwood Town is a trip to Witham Town in the Isthmian League North Division. Keith Rowland’s side will be looking to provide Blues fans with another Christmas present in the form of three points.
Here’s everything Blues fans need to know about our Boxing Day clash…
Opposition:
Witham Town head into the game currently in 11th position, 8 points behind Brentwood Town. Their last outing ended in defeat to Redbridge, however a 3-2 victory against Maldon & Tiptree, an 8-0 thrashing of Stowmarket Town and another 3-2 victory against play-off hopefuls Felixstowe & Walton United preceded that. They have taken 9 points from the last 18 available, with Jeffrey Cobblah their top scorer with 9 goals in all completions so far this season.
The Town are managed by Garry Kimble, who returned to the club in the summer. He previously managed the Spa Road side between 2011 and 2016 in what was their most successful period as a club. He guided the club to two promotions in three seasons during his first spell at the club.
Although it was a difficult start to his return to Witham Town, Kimble’s side have really turned things around in recent weeks and will certainly be a tough opposition for The Blues this Boxing Day.
Last time out:
The Blues head into the game on the back of a 0-0 draw at home to Bury Town. Despite having the better of the chances and hitting the woodwork several times, Brentwood were unable to find the net. Hopefully it’ll be a better outcome for Brentwood Town this time out!
