Brentwood Town 2-1 Tilbury
Friday 11th April 2025
Isthmian League North Division
Brentwood Town made it three consecutive league wins and remain at the top after a Friday night victory over Tilbury.
The visitors took an early lead after 12 minutes, as their leading goal scorer Alex Hernandez, fired home a rebound clearance from the crowded area into the bottom corner of goal.
Danny Ogunleye claimed his 39th of the season and got an equaliser for The Blues. His in-swinging attempt from the left flank made it beyond The Dockers’ backline before finding the top right corner.
Just four minutes later, Benas Vaivada secured the lead as he drove goal wards after finding the through ball sent by captain Matt Cripps, and turned his full back before firing his strike.
Vaivada looked to get another in the closing stages of the half. He managed to cut inside and fire from a distance but his effort struck the crossbar.
A late free kick for The Dockers was sent into Oli Spooner who took a shot from just inside the box but fell narrowly wide of the post.
The Blues return to league action on Saturday as they take a trip to Trafford Park to face Wroxham.
