BRENTWOOD TOWN 0 – 0 BURY TOWN
Despite the lack of goals this was a good game between two promotion hopefuls with Brentwood having the better chances overall and hitting the woodwork three times, but they had to settle for a point against Bury Town on Saturday.
Blues could have taken a lead in the 5th minute, but Wyan Reid hit the underside of the crossbar and George Sykes’ follow up was blocked on the line.
Bury’s Cemal Ramadan was denied by home keeper Melvin Minter in the 12th minute before Sykes had another chance for Blues when he looked certain to score but Lewis O’Malley made a brilliant goal line clearance.
Bury finished the first half well, Luke Brown forcing another good save from Minter, but Blues dominated much of the second half with Reid hitting the post from close range and Sykes saw his close-range effort saved by Charlie Beckwith in the 97th minute.
