Brentwood skipper Tom Richardson (pictured) hit his second hat-trick of the season as Brentwood earned a comfortable win at Witham.
Suialbo Balde had a good chance for the hosts in the fifth minute, shooting into the side-netting but Brentwood began to dominate and three goals in the space of ten first half minutes put the visitors firmly in command. Richardson opening the scoring in the 26th minute, Andy Freeman headed in Brentwood’s second goal before Richardson made it 3-0 with his second of the afternoon in the 35th minute.
Brentwood introduced debutant Ashley Nzala in the second half, a recent signing who was previously at Great Wakering Rovers this season.
George Craddock hit the Witham crossbar from a free kick before Richardson completed his treble in the 79th minute to bring his season’s tally to fourteen.
