Brentwood Town is delighted to announce the signing of back-to-back promotion winner Benas Vaivada from Bowers & Pitsea.
The 22-year-old made 36 appearances and scored 11 goals for our Essex opponents last season, resulting in him being crowned as Isthmian League North Play-Off Winner.
Vaivada achieved back-to-back promotion success by featuring in the Aveley squad that won the Isthmian League Premier Play-Offs in 2022-23, as the Millers were promoted to the National League South. He also played and scored in the Velocity Cup Final against Potters Bar Town in that same season, resulting in Aveley being crowned cup champions with a 3-0 victory at Parkside.
At the start of his career, Vaivada played for Tower Hamlets in the Southern Counties East Football League, before signing for Margate in January 2022. During this season the young talent made 25 appearances and scored 4 goals.
When asked about signing for The Blues Vaivada said: “I know a lot of [the squad] and the direction the club wants to go in. This is everything I want to play for.”
“The fans can expect someone that will run through a brick wall to not lose a game! I love creating nice football and ultimately, they can expect a winner”.
Assistant manager Steve Butterworth also shared his thoughts on our new signing. “Benas played two really good games against us last season and his direct style out wide caused us problems. We believe that he can add goals from the attacking midfield and wide areas.”
We can expect a determined and competitive forward with Vaivada’s attacking qualities bound to produce problems for defenders. Brentwood Town are excited to welcome Benas Vaivada to The Arena for the 2024/25 campaign.
